Episode 230 – Sausage Party & Punk’s Dead: SLC Punk 2

sausage party

This week on the show, Greg and Casey get invited to the Sausage Party while Dan dies of boredom with Punk’s Dead: SLC Punk 2. Then they get all Canadian with their discussion of Canadian sons The Tragically Hip’s 2004 effort In Between Evolution.

Before we get to that though, we’re talking about more Star Wars news, the ARRIVAL debut trailer, and we review the movies and television we have been watching this week. Finally, we watched another episode of The O.C. Season 1 in our television relay segment The Orange You Glad I Didn’t Say The O.C. Corner!

As a Scottish person living in Scotland I’ve never seen Strange Brew, I will check it out though.
I am also a fan of American Pickers! Mike is annoying as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck but in a really entertaining way. Frank is the best and while Danielle is pretty much awesome she can be really wooden in scripted scenes.

Haha, amazing – I’m not alone! Yeah they’re both really cheesy, and pretty much all of the “cold open” joke-sessions are terrible and feel sooooo scripted. But, I still love that they will focus on small things like when someone has a pick item that is worth more than they’re asking for, Mike and Frank will usually not rip them off. Definitely wooden scripts but the picking is always entertaining and I more often than not learn something about American folk art, or some such interesting factoid, through most episodes.

I have seen Black Dynamite! Saw it in theaters and looooved it; been a while, I need to check back in with it for sure.
