This week is admittedly a bit of a gush-fest. Pretty much since we started the show, Ariel’s wanted to tackle musicals. “But how?!” we wondered. It’s such a vast genre, one episode really doesn’t seem to do the genre justice. So, to introduce the genre into our programming, we decided to look at two of our favourite musicals of all time: Cannibal! The Musical (Bob’s) versus West Side Story (Ariel’s)! A finer pairing has not been seen since The Age of Innocence went up against Lawnmower Man back in episode 42. So tune in as we talk about why Cannibal was so important to Bob, and what makes West Side Story one of the greatest movie musicals of all time. And, you know, Ariel’s favourite.
