This week, WJM’s on the hunt for a new sportscaster just as luckless former pro-football player Frank Carelli (John Schuck) comes to town. An old friend of Lou’s, Mary pushes Frank to audition, despite having no aptitude for broadcasting. In the end, he finds his purpose in the unlikeliest of places that seems the perfect fit. We discuss how careers used to define an entire generation of men, how we now look to our careers to find deeper meaning and satisfaction in life, and the shifting nature of our own purpose in what we do and how we do it.
