Well, folks, it’s episode 39! You know what that means?!
Nothing. Absolutely nothing of any note or significance.
To celebrate this momentous Everyday, we decided to take a look at a film/set of films and trailers that recently celebrated it’s 10th anniversary: Robert Rodriguez’s and Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse! That’s right, we’re looking at the entirety of Grindhouse, kooky trailers included! We both gush about Rodriguez’s Planet Terror, while Ariel goes into her theories on how Death Proof is really the ultimate rape revenge allegory. So join us as we take you through the history of the Grind Houses of yore, where this dynamic buddy duo got the idea for their double bill, and why both films work – even Death Proof.
