This week on our show, we dive into some politics off the top of the episode before discussing listener-submitted news and diving into all the movies we’ve been watching this week. Then, in Film Roulette, it’s a battle of the Arrivals, as Greg and Dan head to the theaters and check out Arrival from Denis Villeneuve starring Amy Adams; is this hotly anticipated low-key sci-fi film about an alien language all that it is cracked up to be? Casey doesn’t know, because he stayed home and watched the 1991 clunker The Arrival, about a man who walks too close to a meteor and becomes both Benjamin Button as well as an estrogen-hungry space-vampire. Is John Saxon enough to save this Charles Band-adjacent b-movie? Tune in to find out! They also get-a-travellin’ with an album by Blues Traveler.
All of this, plus a discussion about the latest episode of SNL, reviews of Fright Night II, Kubo & The Two Strings, Ouija: Origin of Evil and an episode of Orange You Glad It’s The O.C. Corner where we talk about the episode “The Proposal.”
