Definitely. I can’t wait for the next movie now that all the character introductions are out of the way and they can just play for 2 hours. I am also hoping for the eventual introduction of Earth’s Nova.

Yeah, and to clarify I do think that it makes sense from the character side that he’d try to pull some moves on her and that it’d go that direction, heh. I wasn’t bummed out about it, yeah, just nit picks for sure.

Fair enough, like I said I am just not a big Saldana fan. I agree that they were doing good establishing her early but it definitely devolved. I didn’t mind the love interest bit, they tease that tension in the comics a lot. Though in the recent run of the series she ends up fucking Tony Stark nearly to the emergency room, which was great. Again, these are just nit picks, it was a fucking blast.

I was definitely disappointed a bit with her character – I felt though they did establish her again and again in the opening of the picture to be totally bad-ass, they did kind of rely on her having to be saved by men elsewhere later in the film. I don’t know much about her in the comics, but it was a bit of a let down. That, and that she became the usual superhero love-interest later as well. I thought she was great, acting wise.

What did you guys think of Gamora and Zoe Saldana’s acting? She was the only real let down for me. I don’t think they gave the character much to do or showed how bad ass she really is. Which is a shame because she is a very strong character in the comics. Maybe Saldana just didn’t have enough to keep her invested. Full disclosure: I don’t care for her in most things. Also, I fully agree about Bautista. I was so ready and prepared to hate him as Drax but god damn he was good! I think this has climbed to the top of the Marvel movies for me.

btw “I thought they were going to go full Akira and then they swerved hard Madonna” might be the best thing ever written about LUCY ever.

Dude, seriously, we all thought that too. You’d be like HEY ARE YOU ON DRUGS YOU MAKE NO SENSE RIGHT NOW.

I thought they were going to go full Akira and then they swerved hard Madonna. Never thought I’d write those words. Also Lucy’s mom might have the longest strange conversation tolerance before asking “are you on drugs?” of any mom anywhere ever.
